AIRWAY FOCUSED DENTIST

I'm an airway-focused dentist with a special interest in airway health, breathing, sleep-disordered breathing and oral function.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, my approach looks beyond teeth alone. Through a comprehensive Airway & Myofunctional Assessment, I help adults and children explore the factors that may be contributing to mouth breathing, poor sleep, snoring, teeth grinding, jaw tension and difficulties with tongue and oral function.

As both a dentist and a mother, I understand how frustrating it can be when concerns persist but answers remain unclear. That's why every assessment begins with listening carefully to your story and understanding your individual needs.

I work collaboratively with a network of healthcare professionals, including ENT specialists, osteopaths, speech and language therapists, lactation consultants and orthodontists, to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care.

My goal is simple: to help you breathe better, sleep better and function better.

My Approach to Airway Dentistry

1

Listen and understand

Your symptoms are only part of the picture. I take time to understand your breathing, sleep, dental history, jaw symptoms and concerns, so we can start asking why they may be happening.

2

Look beyond the teeth

I assess more than your smile. I look at nasal and mouth breathing, tongue posture and function, swallowing, jaw and bite, oral development and the dental signs that may tell us more.

3

Connect the dots

I bring together the dental, airway and myofunctional findings to understand how they may relate, rather than looking at each symptom in isolation.

4

Your personalised plan

Your treatment may include the YTM® Method, breathing retraining and dental sleep medicine, alongside referral or collaborative care with other healthcare professionals.
